Going with your gut

I am not a huge political guru. I don't know all the facts. What I did know is that I actually for once in my life was interested in what a candidate was saying and actually believed him at the same time. In school we hold mock trials and by a landslide McCain won. After hearing the "mock" winner I was also "priveledged" enough to hear a lot of the teachers and aides opinions. I was shocked to hear that so many people were against Obama and judged him only by his lack of experience...to say the least. I was surprised that they didn't 'feel' anything when he spoke. They debated and spoke about their reasons why they didn't like him and they sparked a small spark in my mind on whether or not I should stick to my orignial choice.

After school I picked Brooke up and brought her with me to vote. I closed the curtain and easily and without any hesitation picked Obama. I am happy that I stuck to my first decision, my gut feeling. I hope that the people that didn't vote for him will come around and accept the change because it IS going to be for the better.
