Night Night and Good Morning...

Okay so the first thing you hear so much about when you have an infant is SIDS. One of the major things they recommend you not doing is to keep a blanket in the bed. Well, what do you do if you your child WILL not go to sleep unless he is rubbing a blanket on his face or has it softly placed over his head? (I'm laughing to myself right now because this sounds insane but is positively true!)Here is a picture of how Lucas falls asleep each night. I promise you that he is breathing and able to breathe. I have the video and heart monitor on just in case plus, I go in after he falls asleep and I move the blanket away from his mouth/nose. He is so happy in the morning and always seems to have found that blanket again to place on his head somewhere!! Side note- Brooke has seen her brother do this and wanted to get in on the fun!

Here is how he wakes after a good nights sleep...too cute!

Okay those are some cute kids! And I see NOTHING wrong with Lucas wanting to sleep with a blanket... I mean all the cool people are doing it! Blankeys are AWESOME.

Oh my, I can just eat him up!! That smile is just delicious. Brooke is looking pretty comfy in her crib too, makes me want to crawl right in next to her !

The new mom books do scare you to death about SIDS (no blankets, no bumpers, no toys, no ANYTHING!) My kid would be sleeping naked in a bucket if he was going to be born in a warmer month. ;) See how confident you are with your second child???

They are both such happy kids!!! I remember Brooke was like that waking up as a baby, too -- just all smiles and giggles and yumminess.

I'm so jealous of Maria that she gets to visit this weekend!!

Its' funny I was telling a friend and she said her cousin and good friends boys are the same way. They scream unless something is over the face. I am wondering if it is the comfort of the material or the darkness???

Hmm. Have you tried putting a little cap on him? Like the cotton ones they get when they come home from the hospital? Maybe his head is cold?

I can't wait til our little bubby is here and I can go wake up a smiley baby in the mornings!!!
