Fight or Flight...
Apparently, I take the flight method in most scenerios. Today I was visiting my grandmother when I was innocently standing in the hallway of the nursing home minding my own business. All of a sudden an old lady that was standing DIRECTLY in front of me with a walker (her back to me) decides to collapse. Now, I could have really caught her but instead my gut reaction (in this scenerio) was to flee! I couldn't believe I did it..I took Brooke and ran into my grandmother's room...as I whispered to myself..."I really could have caught her". I felt horrible and was really shocked...peeking outside, the woman was laying on the floor, with her daughter screaming and my mom, whom I said..."Do something" was trying to put something under her head. It's so weird the decisions I make in split seconds...aren't the ones that I think I would make if I had time to think. There are a few other times when this has occured to me...2 out of the 3 I FLEE...maybe that should be my motto... For any of you that were there for the other times...I'm sure you remember seeing my dust. 1- The car going up in smoke upstate.... 2- the runaway pony at the 1st birthday party. I rest my case.

What about when something caught on fire in your basement on Christmas Eve? sorry...you didn't mention that one.
In this case if you were holding Brooke, it makes sense. And I know that if it was something that had to do with our family you would "fight"... it's not a good or bad thing either way. When you are meant to fight you will...
Is the lady ok? How did mommy react afterwards? Did grandma realize? I'm sorry you had to experience that.
Haha... I really like having different identities... I don't have smelly feet today but on Friday at physical therapy I did... and my pt put a towel over them -HAHA... I like sharing random information.
So, I'm going to email you now...
I was there when you left your dog and your husband along w/ some friends to burn alive in an overheating truck.....lol......that was pretty funny. And, I was there, although did not see yesterday's "fall". I have to say, Momma D got right involved, but was ready to put a hurting on that old lady's daughter. It's OK what you did. You knew there were others to help in that situation. If no one else was around, you would have stepped up.

so scotts a reverand now? when did that happen?
Remind never to have an emergency with you.... LOL! Honestly, I probably would have gasped and wrung my hands, like a little old lady or something!
Sometimes you end up doing more harm than good when you try to help.... like when Rocky got thrown out of the boat when we were white-water rafting, and I tried to help him back in, but ended up giving him a bloody nose with my knee. (Don't ask. It all happened so fast.) :)

Oh lord Annette...I can picture the whole thing. It played out in my mind like when that old lady collapsed in the hospital waiting room full and people and died and no one did anything for 15 minutes. I agree with Scott. If Momma D took over you would have stepped up. I have faith.
Just in case though I'm letting tony at the gym know that you're a little untrustworthy and to keep the defibrilator handy next time we see Augusta.
Scott says the blog reminds him of the ending of Rev Runs show when he types on his phone thingy...what's that called oh yeah a blackberry.
