Edited and Updated

I was trying to decide should I relist everything that I have accomplished on the list but decided to only show the recent accomplishments and things I am currently working. I always remember that this list is here but I am pretty much picking one or two things to focus on. I want this to be fun and I feel if I try too many things it will be more of a tedious and annoying thing. Got me? Good...lets move on.

15. Write a letter a month to someone/anyone.
This is something that will be ongoing and I actually think I am going to modify it to say "for a year". The reason is I want to be able to cross things off. I am hoping it will become a nice little habit. I mean who doesn't like getting a hand written note, letter or card in the mail. You knows...one of you may be next!

27. Run a 1/2 Marathon
Okay, I said it and I am putting it in writing. I am still working out the kinks but I am running a marathon within the next few months. I am not stating which one just yet because I am thinking I may want to make it a bit more exciting and travel to one rather than do the one right here in Long Island. There are plusses and minuses to both. Plus- kids and scott can be there to support. Minus- um...none really. Did I just answer my own question?

44. Go to church at least once a month
Now Scott and I are not highly religious people quoting the bible or anything but we do enjoy going to church. Getting there is the challenge. We have been able to do this for two months though. We have been going to the children's mass. We like how it slows down the running around and makes you stop and think for a minute. With two kids you can find yourself running around a lot...going to church everyone seems more peaceful with the priest talking, the children singing and all of us just sitting together enjoying quiet time. It gives me time to kind of get back to the roots of everything. Scott's grandmother once said (referring to him going to my "catholic" church even though he is protestant) It doesn't matter where you go or what you believe and you DON'T have to agree with everything. Its more of the spiritual, and calming feeling you get when you are there. I can sort of agree with this. (sometimes it is not so calming when Brooke decides to run up to the altar...but otherwise..yes, its calming).

63. Make a new tradition for the kids.
First, with the first winter snow we make an indoor snowman. You may have seen this picture on Facebook. Very cute. Not sure if they will want to do this when they are sixteen but it is fun for now!
Second, building the Gingerbread House. We did this on Thanksgiving this year and it was so much fun. We had a lot of good laughs...and Grandpa learned that you CAN't put icing on tinfoil.

65. Spend a WHOLE day reading a great novel.
I did this with the book we just finished in my bookclub. It was called The Help by Kathrynn Stockett. I really enjoyed the book...

Here is a short review by bookbrowse.com...

Be prepared to meet three unforgettable women
Seemingly as different from one another as can be, these women will nonetheless come together for a clandestine project that will put them all at risk. And why? Because they are suffocating within the lines that define their town and their times. And sometimes lines are made to be crossed.

In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women — mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends — view one another. A deeply moving novel filled with poignancy, humor, and hope, The Help is a timeless and universal story about the lines we abide by, and the ones we don't.

69. Attend one really huge rock concert.

Do the Black Eyed Peas count for this...I CAN NOT WAIT TO GO TO THIS CONCERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

71. Lie in bed an entire day.
I am checking this off my list...even though I didn't do it in the manner I think it was intended. I did it for three days because I was sick...I really don't like just laying there..so this is getting crossed off.

74. Make 5 new recipes from any cookbook
Up to three...two more to go.

87. Lose 10 pounds from prego weight
Wooo Hoo...and yes, I believe I told you my weight last time so I will say it now. It truly holds me accountable and it is almost freeing saying it out loud. I am currently 130. Lets keep going...

That's all for now. I will continue to update and edit!!!

I'd say you're doing a pretty good job w/ this list being that you work FT at home and then PT at the library.
Excellent job on losing 10 lbs.!!!!
All these other accomplishments are great as well.
When did you spend a WHOLE day reading? lol
Implementing going to Church was also something I'm glad you did. Although when Brooke gives you that little look, I just start "praying" she doesn't run up to the altar.
The 1/2 marathon....you're all over it.....you need a new watch!!!!

Congrats on the 10 pounds!!! You are my inspiration! At 16 days away from due date, I look at my belly and think, "How will this EVER go back to normal?" But I've seen you do it, so I know it can be done!!!

Re the 1/2 marathon -- you go, sista! One of my friends ran one only 9 months after giving birth. (She's my other post-prego fitness inspiration.) I personally can't imagine ever running more than a 10K (6.2 miles).
